"To fall in Love with God is the greatest romance; to seek Him, the greatest adventure; to find Him, the greatest human achievement."
The Order of Saint Augustine was founded in 1244, to live and promote the spirit of community as lived by the first Christian communities. The Augustinian Order is people - men and women - who, in the words of the Rule we profess, "live together in harmony, being of one mind and one heart on the way to God."
A few words from our Provincial Prior
Greetings from the Augustinian friars of England and Scotland. We hope you will enjoy our website and be able to learn something about who we are - our life, our spirituality, our commitment to building community. While you are here, you will also discover something about the many ways that we serve the Church and the wider community in Britain and throughout the world.

FIND YOUR VOCATION
The experiences of St Augustine are so close to our own. Like many of us, he was restless, he searched for meaning and often ended up looking for happiness in all the wrong places. Augustine's attitude is "don't do it alone!"
Support from friends like you
The Augustinians in Britain rely on support from friends like you in order to carry out our work in the service of faith and promotion of social justice.
We thank all our generous supporters and remember them regularly in our prayers.
